Let me introduce Ruby's Gaze — a piece that feels very close to me. When I painted it, I wanted to create something that brought both calmness and a sense of protection. I used five different shades of blue to build that soft, peaceful atmos-phere, and then added a touch of hot pink to bring in a feeling of mystery and passion.
At the center is Ruby. When you look into her eyes, it almost feels like she's looking right back at you. That gaze is the heart of the painting. I wanted it to make you pause for a moment and wonder: What is she thinking? What is she keeping to herself? I didn't want to answer those questions myself - I want each person to find their own meaning in her expression.
For me, this painting is more than just colors on a canvas. It's an invitation to slow down, to feel, and to connect. When Ruby's Gaze hangs in a room, it brings a certain energy — a quiet strength mixed with curiosity.
