For this painting I worked with thin brushes, knives and painting is finished with double layer of matt Titan varnish.

This painting is part of the Almost Human series.

It’s meant to be playful — but not shallow.
We’ve all had real moments of connection with animals:
laughing at them, finding comfort in them,
maybe even feeling love for them — or the sadness of losing them.

We dress ourselves up and call it “civilized,”
but we’re not that far from the animals we hang on our walls.
Same instincts. Same impulses.
Different clothes.

I keep the work playful because that’s how I get close.
And when the connection happens, empathy steps in — and everything changes.

From a scientific point of view, we have far more in common with animals than what separates us.
Yet we love to feel superior, even when we turn around and behave like “animals.”

It’s funny how we say someone is “behaving like an animal” when they lose control —
but when an animal shows care, loyalty, or intelligence,
we rarely say they’re “behaving like a human.”
Think about that. Which one is more likely to happen?
