Proud

€2,800.00

Acrylic on canvas

112cm x 162cm

When I created Proud, I wanted to explore personal strength through resistance, self-love, and acceptance. A recurring element in the Øjeblik series is that the gaze captures the viewer’s attention. This time, I chose to paint the eyes with less detail to create a calmer and less intense focus, which allows this painting to stand alone in the series. — I wanted it to invite recognition, not distance. I used orange and light blue to create a subtle tension, warmth meeting clarity, reflecting the balance between inner resilience and emotional openness. For me, strength isn’t about aggression; it’s about presence, and that’s what I tried to capture in this piece.
