Earthbound Serenity
This painting was created from a place of calm.
Not a perfect or silent kind of calm, but the real kind — the feeling that appears when we let go for a moment and simply allow ourselves to be present.
To me, the flowers symbolize the natural rhythm of life. The way everything moves in seasons; how we grow, let go, bloom, and slowly return to ourselves again. They are a reminder that there is beauty in softness, vulnerability, and stillness.
The woman in the painting is not meant to be a specific person. She represents an energy — a feeling of balance, presence, and inner peace. A quiet moment between the human soul and nature.
Earthbound Serenity is about our connection to the earth and the natural world around us. About how we, as humans, truly find peace when we reconnect with nature and allow ourselves to become part of something greater than ourselves.
I usually sketch out ideas first, but once the foundation of a piece settles within me, I work intuitively, guided by both feeling and intention. This painting slowly revealed itself on the sketchboard, before fully coming to life on the canvas somewhere between intuition and reflection.
My hope is that this piece brings a sense of calm, warmth, and love into the space it lives in.
